After connecting the fire-wire cable between the 01x and new fire-wire card I launched the mLAN setup. The mLAN tools installed without a problem and after powering up the 01x started a wizard to install the 01x’s MIDI drivers, audio drivers and mLAN drivers; these installed with no problems or reboots required.

Could you check those settings? I recommend you also review and optionally edit your mLAN settings/connections in mLAN Graphic Patchbay. When I've set wordclock to 01x, I needn't change setup after disconnecting laptop and both I88x are still visible as parts of mixer. Usually drivers, firewire and PC performance issues cause problems in whole mLAN network, not in one device (in your case i88x). If issue is related only to inputs from one mLAN device you could:- Check firmware version on your i88x and optionally update it with mLANUpdaterfori88X.exe included to mLAN drivers package.- Check in Graphic PAtchbay, if i88x wordclock is correctly connected to your master clock.- Check your firewire cable connected to i88x (e.g. This is weird. In an hour, i have change the Wordclock master to the 01x and checked the individual inputs of the 01x which i see independently in S One no problems there.but the i88x inputs are all coming in on one stereo channel, mlan inputs 15/16. Which have led to some serious head scratching moments here!Could you attach screenshot with your audio connections in Graphic Patchbay ('Connection' menu - 'Audio), screenshot with I88X node information (select i88x, go to 'View' menu - 'Node Information')? Could you also check bandwidth value in 'View' - 'Resource Information?
I'll have a look at this. Check your firewire cable connected to i88x (e.g. By replacing this cable with your second cable connected to 01x).This is the only thing i havent done (due to time) but i think this could be the problem because i tested in cubase & FL studio and its the same as in S.One. All inputs are visible but the i88x mlan channels are not.I'll pick up one and report back,hopefully this will solve the problem. Connect audio inputs to your I88X and monitors or headphones to 01x2. Launch 01X, I88X (but not PC) and launch audio to I88X3. Set 01X to Internal mode, set Monitor also to Internal mode (probably B), set to audible values your mixer channels for I88X (probably mL1 - mL8 cahnnels in second mixer Layer)4. Because you mentioned drops occurs after some time, you need listen output by this estimated timeIf drops and other audio issues don't occur, your I88X (and cable) is OK and issue is related to computer/firewire. If it occurs, your hardware, that is I88X (or cable) is corrupted.JanuszThis message was edited 1 time. I'm a bit puzzled, because settings from your screenshots look OK. S1 in 'Song' - 'Song Setup.' - 'Audio I/O Setup' - 'Inputs' should show channels selected in Graphic Patchbay for PC mLAN device. So in your case it should be 32 channels (not connected inputs in Graphic Patchbay are simple not audible, but should be visible in s1)2. Yamaha use numerical order for connections in Graphic Patchbay.
Because your I88x outputs are connected to 1-8 inputs, so they probably are redirected to PC via 9-16 outputs on 01x (1-8 are used for internal analog inputs on 01x). However, I'm not sure. Because currently I can't check it with my audio system. Sum up, your 8 outputs from I88x should be available in PC and S1.
You can switch view in Graphic Patchbay from Graphic to List and track all connections (by name) in Audio Out, Audio In, Destination Connector List boxes.
